World of WarCraft on iPad??

I used to play World of Warcraft or DoTA during the weekends and this really kinda looks cool because WOW can now be played on your Apple's iPad. LOL! This made me think that Apple is now starting to conquer/compete the video gaming world . Here's a bit of information below:

The makers of a browser-based game streaming service have shown off World of Warcraft running on an Apple iPad. David Perry, co-founder of the Gakai streaming service, demonstrated the popular MMORPG running on an iPad to show off the cloud gaming service’s potential. It works by streaming footage of a game running directly to a browser, thereby cutting away the need for a traditional game install, and taking away much of the processing and data legwork from the device, or mobile, used.

Sony PS3 Upgrades

Finally! the PS3 hardware is now ready to generate a profit. The loss-leading console once estimated to cost Sony more than $800 per (losing between $241 and $307 per console sold back in 2006) has likely turned a corner thanks to a reduction in manufacturing costs. While Sony isn't saying anything on the matter, PocketNews  confirms that the latest PS3 SKU -- CECH-2100A spotted in the FCC back in February -- uses an improved RSX graphics chip based on smaller  40-nm processes similar to the PS3 Slim's new 45-nm Cell processor.

The result is a 15% decrease in console power consumption when compared to the 120GB CECH-2000A PS3 Slim sporting a 65-nm RSX. The cooler running chip allows for a stealthier heat sink and power supply in addition to a smaller cooling unit. Those changes combined with fewer adjoining chips around the shrunken RSX should make the console cheaper to build which is good news to Sony's sagging bottom line.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds

I would have to say that this one is the most anticipated sequel from Capcom - Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. The last series was released way back 2000 in arcades "Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes".  Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is a crossover fighting video game developed by Capcom featuring characters from the company and American Marvel Comics. It is the 3rd installment of the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise and the first to use three-dimensional character graphics on a two-dimensional battle area.

The game is produced and directed by Ryota Niitsuma, who had previously worked on Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, and features the same fast-paced, over-the-top fighting mechanics as earlier games in the series, along with new methods of play designed to make the game more accessible to new players. Capcom has promised a robust storyline for the game. The game is tentatively set for release for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in Spring 2011.

Watch the announcement trailer below and see how the battles take place in various iconic locales and pit six fighters against each other in visually overwhelming skirmishes.

Gears of War 3

I would have to say that this is one of my favorite shooting game aside from CounterStrike a PC Game. Gears of War 3 is an upcoming 3d person shooter video game developed by Epic Games, it is the 3rd installment in the Gears of War Series and will conclude the series storyline. Published by Microsoft Games Studios and due for release on Xbox 360  in April 2011.

Gears of War 3 will feature a four-player co-op mode  and the introduction of female COG soldiers. The game will also feature new weapons, including a two-barreled shotgun revealed in the trailer and discussed by Bleszinski.

Eighteen months after the fall of the last human city, the war against the Locust rages on. Meanwhile, deep beneath the surface, a fearsome new threat is infecting the planet from within. With survivors scattered and civilization in ruins, time is running out for Marcus and his comrades as they fight to save the human race.

According to Cliff Bleszinski, the game will "answer the majority of the questions that players have about the history of the world and what's going on". The story is being written by noted Star Wars Expanded Universe novel author Karen Traviss, who has authored two Gears novels and is working on a third.

Happy 5th Birthday PSP!

Wow! it's been a year since a bought my Playstation Portable and I never thought that it was already it's fifth year last March 24, 2005. For me, this is the best gadget I ever had simply because it's Portable - you can bring anymore - you can play music, movies, games and even connect through the internet with it's wifi features.

The Director of Hardware Marketing John Koller had the following to say:

“March 24, 2005 will always be known in PlayStation history as the day we debuted the PSP systemin North America. At midnight launches across the country, hundreds of you waited with great anticipation in lines at local retail stores for the PSP system. With its best-in-class, 4.3 inch high-resolution LCD display, vast library of software titles and built-in wireless communications, the PSP system was the first integrated handheld entertainment system to introduce console-quality gaming and comprehensive entertainment capabilities to the portable market. Half a decade later, PSP is still going strong and continues to provide the best portable gaming experience and offer incredible value to consumers.”

God of War III Cheats

Hint: Extra Red Orbs

When fighting those sword-wielding Olympian skeletons, kill some so that there about ten left and position Kratos with his back to to a wall. Equip the Claws of Hades (which need to be at level 2 or higher). Repeatedly lash out with the Soul Rip (L1 + CIRCLE) and you'll get hundreds, even over a thousand hits on just a few enemies. The Soul Rip attack deals very little damage. On hard modes you can probably increase the hit count further and be rewarded with more red orbs. Note: If you don't back against a wall you'll have to move towards enemies a bit after each attack.

Final Fantasy XIII is Out!!

Finally! The long wait is over Finally Fantasy fanatics out there - Final Fantasy XIII is already out!

For years, the series has prooved as a seemingly timeless pillar of Japanese role-playing games. Giving you fantastic characters, intricate stories and complex battle systems, Final Fantasy is one of the most recognizable names in the videogame world.

Surprisingly, Final Fantasy XIII abandons a number of well-loved series traditions in favor of a more straight-forward approach. While fanatics might be concerned about it, the two most important aspects of the series. One of the aspect is the battle system and the narrative -- remain just as strong as they always have.

Dante's Inferno

Dante's Inferno
Dante's Inferno is a third-person action-adventure game published by Electronic Arts developed by Visceral Games (formerly EA Redwood Shores). The game is inspired by Inferno, the first book of Dante Alighieri's epic poem, The Divine Comedy.

Players take a third-person control of Dante, the game's protagonist, and engage heavily in fast-paced combat, platforming and environment-based puzzles.
The game starts off in epic fashion when Dante, a soldier in the crusader army, gets stabbed in the back and faces down Death himself. You kill Death and take his scythe, which then becomes your main weapon for the rest of the game. Dante goes home only to find his wife murdered and her spirit yanked away to hell. Dante, of course follows.

At the gates of hell he meets Virgil, the Roman poet and author of the Aeneid, who will likely become his guide through hell, just like in the poem. He can also use numerous magic based attacks and abilities channeled from a mana pool to help in combat, many of which are obtained as the game progresses. Another form of combat available to the character is an ability to take control of a large scale demon capable of dealing devastating attacks after its rider has been killed, a tactic often times required to overcome a hazard or obstacle.
A quick time event system is used when attempting to discharge the demon of its master and during boss fights, where players must press the highlighted button on screen in order to continue the chain of attacks, or be countered and wounded otherwise.

The story of the game is written by Will Rokos and produced by Justin Lambros. The game was released on February 5, 2010, in Europe, and on February 9, 2010, in North America.

"The legal proceeding resulted in a settlement in which the individual will pay to Nintendo the sum of 1.5 million (Australian) dollars by way of damages to compensate Nintendo for the loss of sales revenue caused by the individual's actions," it said in a statement.
