It looks like soon enough this world is going to turn into a virtual reality. Well as for me, that would be great because as of now innovations is really speeding up.

It was announced at BlizzCon 2009 on August 21, 2009, even though details leaked earlier. "While the attention of the Horde and Alliance remained fixed upon Northrend, an ancient evil has been lying dormant within Deepholm, the domain of earth in the Elemental Plane. Hidden away in a secluded sanctuary, the corrupted Dragon Aspect Deathwing has waited, recovering from the wounds of his last battle against Azeroth, nursing his hatred for the inferior creatures that infest the surface realm...and biding his time until he can reforge the world in molten fire. Soon, Deathwing the Destroyer will return to Azeroth, and his eruption from Deepholm will sunder the world, leaving a festering wound across the continents. As the Horde and Alliance race to the epicenter of the cataclysm, the kingdoms of Azeroth will witness seismic shifts in power, the kindling of a war of the elements, and the emergence of unlikely heroes who will rise up to protect their scarred and broken world from utter devastation. The face of Azeroth is altered forever as the destruction left in Deathwing's wake reshapes the land and reveals secrets long sealed away. Players will be able to re-experience familiar zones across Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms, rewrought by the cataclysm and filled with new opportunities for adventure."

Xbox 720 and PS4

Xbox 720 ConceptPS4 Concept
Developer of Xbox 720 and PS4 says that it'll be a browser-based. Gimme5Games head, Matt Spall, believes the traditional console is dead. The next round of consoles will be purely browser-based as all games move online and David Perry tries to take over the world.

Speaking at the Develop Conference, veteran developer Matt Spall, who earlier in the year took his casual games studio Gimme5Games independent from Eidos, told an audience that cloud computing will be the dominant force in the next generation of consoles. The traditional console market as we know it is in its last stages.

“I think the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii will be purely browser-based systems,” he remarked, according to MCV. “Things will change a great deal.”

Spall seemingly echoed recent comments by David Perry, who of course is pushing cloud computing heavily with his own Gaikai service. "It won’t be long before 100 percent of games are all online," Perry said at the conference.

Perry pointed out that along with the digital revolution will come greater accessibility to content. The iPhone, for example, takes just one tap to install an app and another tap to play, whereas something like World of Warcraft, “I’m twenty clicks in and, finally, I see a play button.”

Perry plans to install his Gaikai servers in "every major city" across the globe. He noted that currently 67% of the U.K. and 60% of North America has enough bandwidth to support Gaikai.

PSP with 8 GB / 16 GB built - in flash memory

PSP with 8 and 16 G flashVideo gamers check this out - about Sony PSP's 8 and 16 GB flash and UMD less PSP, according to engadget.com, the next-gen PSP have been growing decidedly louder as of late, and now 1UP's gotten a ton of new details from what it claims are sources directly involved with the new system. Here's what they have been told: the slot for UMD disc was removed and it will be replaced with options for either 8GB or 16GB of built-in flash memory. Also nixed is any hope of a PSP-4000, with Sony opting instead to use a subtitle. Three rumored names include PSP Slide, PSP Flip, and PSP Go!, the latter of which borrows from Sony's pre-existing Go! brand and suggests there might be a built-in camera à la PSP-3000's Go!Cam peripheral. The same D-pad, analog nub, and face button configuration remains, but they now slide out from the bottom of the unit (see mockup, pictured).

Expected launch is September for Japan and late October / early November for US, and coming with 'em are over 100 classic and new downloadable titles including Gran Turismo Mobile as a headliner. Sony's supposedly going official with all this during its E3 press conference in early June, and for now they're opting to give the staple "does not comment on rumors or speculation response. That's one mighty intriguing rumor -- we can only hope it pans out.

All I can say is, how about including a qwerty keypad in it?? Does it sound like it would be better too, right?

Zeebo - "The Fourth Video Game Console"

Zeebo - Zeebo (a new company) together with Qualcomm - designed a new gaming console for emerging markets. Showcasing 3G wireless game delivery, the Zeebo will launch in Brazil next month, where it will ship. The new gaming console is called as the "Fourth Video Game Console" that will target middle-class buyers in emerging markets. The Zeebo system will come pre-loaded with four games, with the ability to download a fifth title for free and it does not discs or other fixed media. Instead, the console employs a Qualcomm chipset that provide users to connect through a wireless network connection game downloads and purchasing. The games are stored in flash memory with a capacity to hold about 50 games on the machine at a time.

The Zeebo console will be the cheapest gaming console for $200. All of the components are derived from cellphone chipsets, which contribute to the Zeebo's low cost, and low power consumption -- two important facets to consider when marketing a device to emerging nations.@ psyorg
