Fastest selling PC Game Ever!

According to Blizzard Entertainment the released of the 2nd expansion pack of World of Warcraft massively multiplayer Online Role-Playing game. With the huge copies of 2.4 million (previously held by the Burning Crusade expansion) over 2.8 million copies of the MMORPG sold in the first 24 hours alone, making it the fastest-selling PC game of all time.

If one assumes that all of the copies sold were the $39.99 based edition (the collector's edition was sold for a $69.99 retail price, but also is being sold for much more) then Blizzard made just under $112 million from the sales of the boxed software alone, on a single day.

World of Warcraft: The Wrath of the Lich King was released simultaneously in North America, Europe, Chile, Argentina, and Russia on Nov. 13. Eight more countries released by Nov. 18. More than 15,000 stores had midnight openings. The Lich King numbers suggest that game companies that create the marquee titles are going to have happy holidays, even though recession is on going.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin

Tomb Raider: Underworld - the 8th game in the Tomb Raider series and the third game in the series to be developed by Crystal Dynamics. In January 2008, it was said that Tomb Raider: Underworld will be released in the 4th quarter of 2008, as opposed to the 3rd quarter as was previously planned.In June 2008, it was announced that the game would be released in November 2008.

Crash: Mind over Mutant

Crash: Mind over Mutant an action-adventure game and the 15th installment in the Crash Bandicoot video game series. A rejuvenated Neo Cortex is taking over the world one brain at a time! Wii Speak Channel by Nintendo

Nintendo presents gamers with the announcement of the Wii Speak Channel for use with the Wii microphone. You and three other friends will be able to chat via the channel, and its downloading coupon is bundled with the microphone. Apparently little else is known about the channel so answers to questions like, can we use another mic, or release date, price; and what else can we do with the channel besides speak. According to newlaunches - all have to be put on hold till we gather some story on this.

Xbox the Third and Wii 2 - coming up?

Xbox 360 the Third and Wii 2 to hit coming up in 2010? Evan Wilson of Pacific Crest Securities says we can expect a sequel to the Wii in 2010, to be followed by a new Xbox later that year. But according to engadget that at this point the rumor is not that accurate. Microsoft made bet that this generating hitting a year before the competition, and has done alright for itself in the process, so Microsoft might be looking for a repeat. PS4? there's rumor about it yet, but I guess that Sony is planning about having it now that they've just heard about this Wii 2 and Xbox the Third.

Looking forward to this new gaming generations in 2010.

Men of War - a video game that is the highly anticipated sequel of Soldiers: Heroes of World War II.
It's being developed in partnership by Best Way and Digitalmindsoft and published by 1C Company and 505 Games.

Men of War takes place on on many different battlegrounds, such as Europe and North Africa during the height of World War II, the story unfolding across three different campaigns played out through the eyes of Soviet, Allied and German soldiers. Fanatics of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue out there, here’s something new that I bet you might be eager to own. The Gran Turismo 5 Prologue POD - the gaming pod is basically a dedicated pod to that plays only GT5p with a 40 inch Sony Bravia LCD display screen and a Playstation 3 setup with engine like attachments. Imagine the joy of playing some cool FPS and racing game in this one. I think playing Diablo and Halo 3 video games is far more enjoyable to play having this POD.
According to dvice.com, this particular pod was given away as a prize at a GT5p competition in Dubai. It cost the makes $15,000 to build.

Soul Calibur IV

This is what I like from Soul Calibur producers and developers - they always makes things new just like some guest characters like YODA, DARTH VADER and THE APPRENTICE - characters from the Star Wars universe with their light sabers - New characters and Bonus characters that makes it more interesting to play.

SoulCalibur IV is actually the 5th installment in Namco's Soul series of fighting games. Soulcalibur IV promises to propel the fighting genre into the next-gen era. With visually realistic environments, interactive stages, enhanced AI, and a new battle system, Soulcalibur IV will be at the top of everyone's wish list.
It was released on PS3 and Xbox 360 last July 29, 2008 in North America.

So far, Soul Calibur IV mainly receives positive reviews from video games critics and it got an overall percentage score of 91 on Metacritic for PS3 and a 90 for Xbox 360 from 7 reviews..

My Top 5 items that I usually use when playing Defense of the Ancients (often referred to as DotA) - a custom scenario for Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, based on the Aeon of Strife map for Starcraft.

1. Mjollnir

Thor's magical hammer made for him by the dwarfs Brok and Eitri. Gives +35 Agility, +35 Damage and a 20% chance to release a 200 damage Chain Lightning. When a hero with the Static Charge buff is attack, there is a 20% chance that a 200 damage Static Charge will strike the attacking unit. Static charge activates at most once per second.

Final Fantasy XIII now on Xbox 360

The producer of Final Fantasy XIII Yoshinori Kitase has some good news for Xbox 360 users, as an effort to "bring as much fun to as many people as possible", the title will be soon available on Xbox. However the company did reveal their current work schedule: First, the company will finish the Japanese PlayStation 3 version, which will then be localized for North America and Europe. Once that's completed, work will begin on the Xbox 360 version.

A specific date hasn't been given yet, but it was predicted that the company will have it ready around summer/fall of 2009.

The best selling game console - Xbox 360 Pro model (20GB hard drive) is now set to cut the price from $349 to $299 ( Microsoft Corp.) this weekend before the video game industry's biggest trade show, E3, taking place next week in LA. A price cut has been widely reported by popular video game blogs and technology Web sites. Many posted snapshots of flyers from various retailers advertising the $299 price.

A cut to $299 makes the Xbox 360 Pro $100 less than Sony Corp's PS 3 with a 40 gigabyte hard drive. Microsoft is locked in a 3-way competition with Wii and the PS 3, which comes with a high-definition Blu-ray video player.
Slashes from Nintendo and Sony seem unlikely at the moment. As it is the $249 Wii is still in short supply at many retailers, and Sony plans to spin its video game business profitable this year, making a cut hard to swallow.

Great!! this is one of my favorite PC game and now Diablo III is coming, I really can't wait to have this one. Here's a short story background from gamedaily. Diablo III will pick up the story 20 years after the events of Diablo II.
