$1.3 Million fine for illegal download!

An Australian man has agreed to pay Nintendo 1.3 million US dollars for illegally uploading a game to the Internet six days before its global release, the firm said Tuesday.
Nintendo said it had settled the Federal Court action against the man who hacked into New Super Mario Bros. for the Wii gaming console and put it on the world wide web on November 6, 2009.
"The legal proceeding resulted in a settlement in which the individual will pay to Nintendo the sum of 1.5 million (Australian) dollars by way of damages to compensate Nintendo for the loss of sales revenue caused by the individual's actions," it said in a statement.
Nintendo said the Australian man, named by local media as 24-year-old James Burt, bought the popular game ahead of its global release when a shop accidentally put it on its shelves before the official sale date. More

God of War III Update

According to Gamedaily.com Sony intended to ship God of War III in March 2010, and it is exactly n March 16. "Ultimate Edition" of the game will be available on that same day. This aesthetically pleasing bundle comes in a replica of Pandora's Box and features an art book, a documentary on the series history, downloadable music from the game trilogy and PSN exclusives in the God of War Combat Arena and a Kratos skin called "Dominus."
The release of God of War III is a huge event for Sony, as the franchise has come to represent the PlayStation brand possibly better than any other.

Halo: Reach

Halo: Reach is an upcoming first-person shooter video game for the Xbox 360. It is the 3rd installment of the Halo series, and it is scheduled for release during autumn 2010. The world premiere was held last December 12, 2009, at the Spike Video Game Awards.

Reach takes place in a futuristic science fiction setting during the year 2552, days before the events of the 2001 video game Halo: Combat Evolved. Humans, under the auspices of the United Nations Space Command (UNSC), have been waging a long war against a collective of alien races known as the Covenant. By the events of Reach, almost all of humanity's interstellar colonies have fallen. Reach is the UNSC's most fortified world, and serves as a military and intelligence hub.
