Indiana Jones

Indiana Jones

Indiana Jones is a video game currently under development by LucasArts' first internally developed project for PlayStation 3 Xbox 360, Nintendo DS video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and it also represents the first collaboration of talents and technology between LucasArts and Industrial Light & Magic, two companies now finally under one roof at the new Letterman Digital Arts Center in San Francisco's Presidio district.

An externally developed version of the game will be released for the PlayStation Portable. The game will be the third in the series of original 3D Indiana Jones games, preceded by Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb, and Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine.

The game does not have a set release date, but it is expected to come out some time in 2008, possibly coinciding with the release of the fourth Indiana Jones movie.

Indiana Jones returns for his most incredible interactive expedition ever. Set in 1939, this epic, original story -- written for the first time under the direction of George Lucas -- puts you in the fedora of the legendary adventure hero as he unravels the clues found in ancient artifacts spanning the globe. From San Francisco's Chinatown to the world's most sacred ground, Indy must use his fists, whip and trusty revolver to fight through ruthless opposition and piece together a mystery of biblical proportions.

One of the biggest announcements is that Logan Keller, the lead character from the previous game, has been removed in favor of having the player create his own character to play through the campaign. The player will assume the role of Bishop, a new member of the Rainbow squad who is soaring through the ranks. The game is billed as part sequel, part prequel, as the events of the campaign run both before and concurrently to the story of Logan Keller, and continue after where the first game concluded.

No More Heroes

No More Heroes

The story follows Travis Touchdown, who is a stereotypical otaku—his motel room decorated with professional wrestling and anime collectibles—living in near poverty in the No More Heroes motel of Santa Destroy, California. After winning a beam katana in an internet auction, he becomes a hitman. When he runs out of money to buy video games, he accepts a job to kill the 'Drifter' aka Helter Skelter, which earns him rank 11 by the UAA, a governing body of assassins. Realizing that he has now made himself a target for aspiring assassins, he sets out to secure himself as the number one hitman in the UAA.

The player controls the character Travis Touchdown. The game has a free rolling world, allowing Travis to turn around on foot or on his motorcycle, the "Schpel Tiger".Game play is open-ended, with the concession that the player must kill the top 10 assassins in order to make the storyline progress. There are voluminous part time job side quests to earn money which can be spent on weapons, training conference, and clothes.

No More Heroes

The Controls is handled through the Wii Remote and Nunchuk affixation, with the Remote controlling his weapon, the beam katana, and the Nunchuk moving Travis. Most attacks are performed using the "A" button, with certain other moves, including finishing strikes and sword lock breaks, executed by following on-screen instructions. Further, since the sword runs on batteries, the player has to charge the remote from time to time by shaking it.
