Sony PS3 Upgrades

Finally! the PS3 hardware is now ready to generate a profit. The loss-leading console once estimated to cost Sony more than $800 per (losing between $241 and $307 per console sold back in 2006) has likely turned a corner thanks to a reduction in manufacturing costs. While Sony isn't saying anything on the matter, PocketNews  confirms that the latest PS3 SKU -- CECH-2100A spotted in the FCC back in February -- uses an improved RSX graphics chip based on smaller  40-nm processes similar to the PS3 Slim's new 45-nm Cell processor.

The result is a 15% decrease in console power consumption when compared to the 120GB CECH-2000A PS3 Slim sporting a 65-nm RSX. The cooler running chip allows for a stealthier heat sink and power supply in addition to a smaller cooling unit. Those changes combined with fewer adjoining chips around the shrunken RSX should make the console cheaper to build which is good news to Sony's sagging bottom line.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds

I would have to say that this one is the most anticipated sequel from Capcom - Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. The last series was released way back 2000 in arcades "Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes".  Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is a crossover fighting video game developed by Capcom featuring characters from the company and American Marvel Comics. It is the 3rd installment of the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise and the first to use three-dimensional character graphics on a two-dimensional battle area.

The game is produced and directed by Ryota Niitsuma, who had previously worked on Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, and features the same fast-paced, over-the-top fighting mechanics as earlier games in the series, along with new methods of play designed to make the game more accessible to new players. Capcom has promised a robust storyline for the game. The game is tentatively set for release for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in Spring 2011.

Watch the announcement trailer below and see how the battles take place in various iconic locales and pit six fighters against each other in visually overwhelming skirmishes.

Gears of War 3

I would have to say that this is one of my favorite shooting game aside from CounterStrike a PC Game. Gears of War 3 is an upcoming 3d person shooter video game developed by Epic Games, it is the 3rd installment in the Gears of War Series and will conclude the series storyline. Published by Microsoft Games Studios and due for release on Xbox 360  in April 2011.

Gears of War 3 will feature a four-player co-op mode  and the introduction of female COG soldiers. The game will also feature new weapons, including a two-barreled shotgun revealed in the trailer and discussed by Bleszinski.

Eighteen months after the fall of the last human city, the war against the Locust rages on. Meanwhile, deep beneath the surface, a fearsome new threat is infecting the planet from within. With survivors scattered and civilization in ruins, time is running out for Marcus and his comrades as they fight to save the human race.

According to Cliff Bleszinski, the game will "answer the majority of the questions that players have about the history of the world and what's going on". The story is being written by noted Star Wars Expanded Universe novel author Karen Traviss, who has authored two Gears novels and is working on a third.
