9Dragons

9Dragons is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game developed by Korean game company Indy21 and remastered for the Western Market by Acclaim Games. The game features 3D graphics and traditional MMO control schemes. Set in China during the Ming Dynasty, it includes actual Chinese geography and historical features such as the Great Wall of China and the famous Shaolin Temple.

The Clans a player may join in 9Dragons are based upon various schools of Kung Fu and are separated into two major factions, The White Clans (loyal to the Imperial Emperor) and The Black Clans (who have no allegiance to him). The White Clans include: Shaolin (male disciples only), Wu-Tang Clan, and The League of Beggars. The Black Clans include: Sacred Flower (female disciples only), The Brotherhood of Thieves, and Heavenly Demon Clan. Each Clan has its own separate but very similar requirements for admission

The clans are various groups and temples that a player can join, all based out of different cities. The choice of clan determines what weapons you will be able to use well, and which other clans you can associate with. There are also special "Advanced clans" (under production) that you evolve into later on into the game. Little is known about the "Advanced clans" but they are supposedly very powerful...More

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops

Six years after the events of "Operation: Snake Eater", portrayed in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Naked Snake's former team, FOX Unit, has broken their allegiance with the CIA and gone renegade. Snake himself is also targeted by the FOX Unit, which sent renegade FOX Unit soldiers to attack and capture him. The game begins with Snake being tortured and interrogated by one of the members of FOX, Lieutenant Cunningham, who's trying to locate the whereabouts of the missing half of the Philosopher's Legacy, with the United States Government having already acquired the other half of the Legacy from the Soviet Union at the conclusion of Snake Eater. Snake is imprisoned in a cell next to Roy Campbell, the sole survivor of an American Green Beret team sent in to investigate the base. Snake learns through Roy that they're on the San Hieronymo Peninsula, the site of an abandoned Soviet missile silo in Colombia.

The two escape and Snake makes his way to a communications base, where he attempts to contact his old CO, Major Zero. Instead, he is greeted by his old FOX comrades Para-Medic and Sigint, who reveal that Snake and Zero are being accused of instigating the revolt and that the only way for Snake to clear their name is to find and apprehend the leader of the rebellion, Gene. To complicate matters, Gene has also convinced most of the Russian soldiers stationed on the base to join their side by simply taking over the chain of command of a former Red Army unit, that was secretly stationed inside the Colombian territory. In order to complete his mission, Snake must persuade enemy soldiers to join his ranks because of the scale of his mission.

New Killer Instinct a "Joke"

The rumour comes from the site totalvideogames which reports the discovery of certain American retailers in a DVD of demonstration relating to Conkers Live & Reloaded. In this demonstration the logo of Killer Instinct would be present at the great joy of the fans.

Being given the absence of announcement Rare developer as well as its Microsoft owner and probable exit of Xbox 360 to the end of the year, one can reasonably think that if the rumour were confirmed the exit of Killer Instinct 3 does not come before a few months even a few years on the new console of Microsoft.

Indeed, as you can see it on these screens of Grabbed By The Ghoulies, a jacket Xbox de Killer Instinct 3 appears on the rack. Information crossed with the discovery by German gamers of logo KI of the mention "Is back" in a demonstration of Conker.
Business to be thus followed...

But we do not pack too quickly for the moment, because no advertisement official was still made by rare. However a person who work for Nintendo declared that Killer Instinct 3 was in preparation in the buildings of rare, and that the play must remained most secret. If the play must remained secret, why this person reveals with the press specialized of such information. Thus for the moment it is only one rumour nothing moreover, but according to this same person one will know some much more before the end of the year. I think that so rare a statement official it must make will be in the neighbourhoods of E3.

According to it pointed Raretopia recently, the three people nail the ones in charge of the saga Killer Instinct at the moment are involved in other projects, and they do not have intention to please leave them in a new delivery of the fight game. Chris Tilston is now after Perfect Dark Zero, Mark Betteridge worked in Conker's Bad Fur Day and Kevin Bayliss walked after StarFox Adventures. This does not mean, as Rare recognizes, that is not going to have a Killer Instinct 3 in the future..Visit Site for more Info.

Last week we reported a rumor that an in-store Conker: Live and Reloaded demo contains a reference to a potential new Killer Instinct game.

Today, a Microsoft spokesperson confirmed that this is only "a joke" -- this makes sense, as humor is a big part of the Conker experience. Unfortunately, the spokesperson was unable to confirm if the previous KI games were also jokes, as in retrospect this seems likely....Click here for Comments

Hellgate: London

Hellgate: London is a computer game under development by Flagship Studios. The design of the game is similar in a number of ways to the Diablo series. This is due to influence of Flagship Studios co-founders including a number of ex-Blizzard North employees, including Diablo series creators Erich Schaefer and former President David Brevik. The other founders are Erich's brother Max Schaefer, former Blizzard North Vice President Bill Roper, and Diablo II producer Kenneth Williams.

Hellgate: London is a role-playing game (RPG) which has some first-person shooter (FPS) elements in a post-apocalyptic setting. Gameplay is based heavily on the character's stats. The FPS element of Hellgate: London will be seen in the Hunter faction and will require some skill to use. Soft-aim will be included in the game as a form of aim assistance.

The game builds heavily upon the core design of roguelikes. Notably it embraces the game design philosophy of using random generation to allow for a high degree of replayability and countless unique gameplay experiences.

Set twenty-five years in the future, Hellgate: London introduces a world devastated by a demon invasion and a desolate city scorched by hellfire where mankind has gone underground to survive. Among them are the Templar, an archaic and secret society that foresaw this demonic apocalypse centuries ago. Followers of arcane rites, the Templar combine futuristic technology with ancient artifacts to forge powerful weapons and armor. The mystic sanctuary of the Underground system provides players safe conduct throughout the sprawling metropolis of London as they seek to preserve the bloodline of man and gain a foothold against the minions of darkness...More

BlackSite: Area 51

BlackSite: Area 51 is a next-gen video game and the sequel to the game Area 51. The game is currently set to be released for PS3,PC , and Xbox 360 on November 5, 2007. It is currently being developed by Midway Austin and published by Midway which are the developers and publishers of the original Area 51. A demo of the game was released via Xbox Live Marketplace on May 11, 2007. A demo is yet to be announced for the PC and PS3. Here, the player plays as Aeran Pierce, a Special Forces operative faced against hordes of alien forces with his squad.

Currently, the game is using Midway's modified Unreal 3 engine that is being designedfor Stranglehold. Allowing for more life like graphics and effects, such as having rain bounce off of your current weapon. The game will run in 30 frames per second. Many destructible objects will be featured, but most of the environment will not be alterable. In the demo, the sign next to where the player begins is shot, one of the AI squad members will say "Yeah, I hate those prices too." This is hopefully one of the examples of interactivity between the landscape, you and the AI.

The setting of the game is around the eponymous secret military research facility in Nevada. Currently, modern day fears come to life in a familiar yet completely extraordinary setting: A small American town which is now swarming with alien life. The government is desperate to keep the secrets that are so terrible that they can no longer be kept from anyone. Everything now depends on the action of Aeran Pierce, a Delta Force soldier sent into one of the most explosive moments in American history.

This game is an attractive and intense 1st person shooter following on from the previous Area 51. The player will assume the role of Aeran Pierce who has been tasked on different things since arriving in Rachel, Nevada. There are different stages in the area, although the 1st stage is alien-free and the only enemies are rebels in Iraq.

One of the features of the game is squad tactics. For example, the player can order one of it's teammates to move on a location or to attack a certain enemy. Throughout the course of the game, there are times when the player will ride on a vehicle controlling its gun.

Video Gameplay:

Most of the vehicle scenario will pit the player on defending a location from attacks. The game will also feature a morale system for each member of Aeran's team. For example, if the squad is not performing well in battle and is losing or taking a lot of damage from the enemy, the player's squad will start to lose morale which will start to decrease their ability in fighting, lessening their damage and the chances they will hit a target. Also, if the squad has a very low morale, they would possibly rather run away from battle. In other words, if the squad is performing well in battle, they will gain morale increasing their fighting ability, enhancing their damage and defense. Also, the squad will be much more accurate on hitting an enemy and the chances of them on fighting enemies head on will increase.

Aside from the M4 carbine and MK23 handgun featured in the demo, the FGM-148 Javelin missile launcher and the sniper variant of the canceled XM8 assault rifle are the only other weapons confirmed for the game. Factor 5 confirms that the player will be able to use weapons of the Reborn on later stages. Also, the player will be able to move during cinematic events much like Half-Life 2.

Pokemon Ranger on DS

Pokémon Ranger is an action/role-playing video game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS video game console.

Nintendo's holiday push for the DS Lite has officially begun, and a big part of this campaign will no doubt be the company's Pokemon games, which have garnered quite a following over the game franchise's 10 year history. Its latest release, Pokemon Ranger, there are no turn-based gym battles to speak of, only an exploration type game with an innovative system that makes good use of the system's touch screen.

In the game, players take control of an up-and-coming Pokemon Ranger, part of a team that's assigned to keep the balance of the Pokemon world in order. This includes maintaining control of wily Pokemon that cause fights or misunderstandings. As this Ranger moves about the Fiore Region, he or she can form a team of Pokemon, four main ones and an interactive partner, to help them complete mission objectives and tasks. The Pokemon can be changed by either helping the Ranger access a new area, or manually by going up and gaining their trust.

Pokémon Ranger is compatible with Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, also for the Nintendo DS, allowing players to transfer the egg of the legendary Pokémon Manaphy to a Pokémon Diamond or Pokémon Pearl game...More on gamedaily.com

Mass Effect

As the first human Specter – sworn defenders of galactic peace – your mission is to halt the advancing armies of a legendary agent gone rogue. But as you lead your elite team across hostile alien worlds, you will discover the true threat is far greater than anyone imagined.

Mass Effect is an action role-playing game under development by BioWare exclusively for the Xbox 360, which will be the first installment of a planned trilogy. It is scheduled for release on November 20, 2007. The game takes place in the year 2183, with the player assuming the role of an elite human soldier named Commander Shepard, set out to explore a vast universe on his/her ship, SSV Normandy.

Besides the plans for a trilogy, which BioWare claims "will cover the Xbox 360's five-plus year cycle", there are plans for episodic content to be uploaded to Xbox Live that will fill in the story between each game, though these episodes are not essential for understanding the story of the main games. Though Mass Effect has been marketed as an exclusive title for Xbox 360, there has been conjecture in print media regarding a PC version of the game. Aside from the rumors, neither Microsoft nor BioWare have given any statements regarding plans for a PC version...More

ANARCHY ONLINE: Lost Eden (PC)

The focus of AO: Lost Eden is on the conflict between two of the three factions: The Omni-Tek and the Clan. The neutrals will also be involved in the conflict but to a lesser degree than the other two factions. The player-versus-player conflict will be brought to new heights both of action and violence as new weapons and vehicles (who knows how to drive one of those Mechs?) are introduced into the gameplay. The options seem almost limitless on how you will be able to take down your enemy. Not only can you now take control of mechs on the battlefield but you also have the ability to call air strikes, use the classic artillery, and mine the battlefield. One other attack is the beam attack which can be unleashed from the control towers. When combined with another player in the control tower you will be able to unleash a deadly barrage of laser attacks on the unsuspecting enemy. The laser will immediately kill any player that is caught in the blast, so if you are on the receiving end of things you had better be ready to get out of the way!

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Review (GBA)

After releasing the super popular, yet slightly broken Street Fighter II for Xbox Live Arcade, Capcom returns to the downloading arena with Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. Like previous incarnations on PlayStation, Sega Saturn and Game Boy Advance, Puzzle Fighter stays true to its simplistic yet volatile nature. You build up block formations using gems and then break them apart with the appropriately-colored powered counter gems. However, some strategy comes into play. The more blocks eliminated from the playfield, the more that build up on your opponent's side. Put together a devastating combo that nearly clears the screen and your virtual fighting character can wipe them out with one explosive super move.

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Gameplay
Players have the option of going right into an arcade match or trying out one of the new sub-modes, labeled X, Y and Z. There are alternate rules for each match, such as how gems get stacked and removed from the screen. They seem to exist more for novelty rather than overall change to the game, which is just fine with us. Those who want to give them a try won't be disappointed. In fact, don't be surprised if one of these new modes soon becomes a personal favorite...Read More

Gran Turismo 4 Mobile

Gran Turismo 4 Mobile was announced at a Sony press conference on May 11, 2004, at the presentation of the PSP. It is planned to be an accurate port of the PS2 game, Gran Turismo 4, for the PSP system. To much disappointment, it has (as of October 2007) still not been released, and a new release date of late 2007 to 2008 is now the current date on sites like EBGames and Wal-Mart.

Gran Turismo 4 Mobile in the first place was intended to be one of the flagship games of the PSP. When it was proclaimed, many could not believe that such a vast game could fit onto Sony's proprietary UMD format, and also that such a game would be able to run on the hardware of the PSP. Now, due to its accumulated delays, many believe that the game will never be released.

Despite this, Gran Turismo series producer Kazunori Yamauchi has been constantly consoling the press of the game's existence. The last of such events occurred on September 25, 2006, when Kazunori cited the cause for such a huge postponement of Gran Turismo 4 Mobile included the development of Gran Turismo games for the PlayStation 3, primarily Gran Turismo HD. Kazunori affirmed that the fundamentals of the game had been accomplished as of August 2004, with only the adjustment of "makeup" remaining.

However, for the first time, a date is making its way on to the internet. UK stores, including Amazon.co.uk, have a date of March 30, 2008 listed. There is currently no confirmation of this date, as Sony has removed any records of the game from the majority of their array of PSP-orientated sites, but for many this may come as light at the end of the tunnel. Also, in a recent interview with Best Car, Polyphony stated that it "will release before PS3's GT5 Prologue", which is anywhere between March and Christmas 2008. Alas, GT5 Prologue has now been announced as a late 2007 release and GT 4 Mobile will not be released before then.

Naruto: Rise of a Ninja

Naruto: Rise of a NinjaNaruto: Rise of a Ninja is an Xbox 360-exclusive video game currently under development by Ubisoft Montreal, making it the first Naruto game to be designed by a non-Japanese company. The game will be specifically based off the English dubbed version of the anime, and is set to be released in North America in October 2007. The option to use the original Japanese voice actors will be included in the game.

The game itself is an RPG, where Konoha will serve as a main hub to access various missions players can go on. The main storyline will take place from the beginning of the series to the end of the Invasion of Konoha arc, with included sidequests. It will feature elements from the Prince of Persia series, like jumping acrobatically from rooftop to rooftop, as well as having one-on-one brawls much like the Naruto: Clash of Ninja series. Like with most Naruto games, it will feature cel-shaded graphics.

The game will also allow online versus multiplayer via Xbox live, enabling you to play with your friends. According to a video interview on Xboxyde.com, the game will also have downloadable content, hinting towards new characters.
